Lunches for Lifesavers
The “Lunches for Lifesavers” program was a response to the increasing cases of the Coronavirus in our community. It was created by Stephanie and Rob Bisordi and administered by the Mark West Area Chamber of Commerce as a way of showing business and community support for our local hospital and emergency room staff. It brought relief and good will to those on the front lines dealing directly with the effects of the COVID-19 virus.
The program started in March of 2020, providing meals and snacks to all the emergency room workers at Sutter Hospital of Santa Rosa three times per week. The food was either donated by local restaurants, or bought by local citizens and businesses, and then delivered to the hospital. As of June 2021, Lunches for Lifesavers had delivered nearly 100 meals and snacks.
